This summer, we were honored to participate in an inaugural Diversity Equity and Inclusion, “Inclusive Teaching for Equitable Learning,” sponsored OpenStax, the ACUE, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
During the seven-week program, we studied the various aspects and impacts surrounding the implicit bias, how it can damage the classroom, and as companies and educators, how we can work to mitigate that reality within the course. That we carry and how to not only spot but mitigate within academic environments.
The program covers various aspects of how to spot and mitigate implicit biases within the classroom including, managing the impact of discrimination, reducing microaggressions in learning environments, addressing imposter phenomenon and stereotype threats, and creating inclusive learning environments.

We are excited to be a part of this transformational future in education and develop technologies that help progress the inclusivity of schooling.
